Ian Collie

FOUNDER AND PRODUCER

One of Australia’s most highly regarded producers, Ian’s  credits include Binge’s Colin From Accounts, Foxtel’s The Twelve, five seasons of the multi award winning series Rake starring Richard Roxburgh, two seasons and three telemovies based on Peter Temple’s Jack Irish book series starring Guy Pearce, four seasons of the popular comedy drama Doctor Doctor (aka The Heart Guy), the mini-series Sunshine starring Anthony LaPaglia and The Principal starring Alex Dimitriades and Aden Young, and the adaption of Peter Temple’s The Broken Shore starring Don Hany and Claudia Karvan. He recently produced the documentary special Lindy Chamberlain: The True Story.

Ian also produced the feature film Saving Mr Banks  starring Tom Hanks and Emma Thompson. His documentary programs include Australia on Trial, Whatever: The Science of Teens, The Making of Modern Australia, Rogue Nation, The Catalpa Rescue, A Case for the Coroner, Art House, The Real Mary Poppins, and The Original Mermaid.

Ian is a qualified solicitor and former executive director of the Arts Law Centre of Australia and the Australian Directors Guild.

Rob Gibson

CEO AND PRODUCER

Rob Gibson is CEO/Producer at Easy Tiger Productions, responsible for driving the strategic direction of the company, and overseeing its diverse development slate alongside Founder/Producer Ian Collie.

His credits include Binge Original Colin From Accounts, new Australian Foxtel drama The Twelve, Jack Irish, Nine’s top rating drama Doctor Doctor and docuseries Lindy Chamberlain: The True Story.

Prior to joining Easy Tiger in 2019, Rob was the Head of Originals at Stan, where he oversaw the commission and production of No Activity, Wolf Creek and Bloom, among others.

Rob’s trusted experience across the creative, production and deal-making of television, combined with a deep understanding of audience and marketing, give him a sophisticated understanding of the global television landscape. His ability to deliver quality drama is exemplary.

Rob previously worked as a film and television producer both in the US and Australia, and was formerly a media and entertainment lawyer, working for Allens Linklaters, Foxtel, Festival Records and Fairfax Media.

Ally Henville

HEAD OF PRODUCTION

A driving force behind the scenes in the Australian production industry, Ally Henville’s list of credits span feature films and over 240 hours of television drama. Most recently Ally produced the highly anticipated ABC/BBC Studios television series Wakefield and the fourth season of Australia’s favourite drama  Doctor Doctor. 

Previously she line produced the Tim Minchin starrer Upright, the Netflix/ABC drama Pine Gap and previously three seasons of Doctor Doctor. Other projects include Active Kidz, A gURLs wURLd, Laid, three series of Dance Academy, Sam Fox: Extreme Adventures, series one and two of In Your Dreams, the second series of Wonderland, the multi-award-winning series Ready for This, the telefeature Julian Clary: Down Under and Here Come the Habibs.  

As Production Manager Ally’s TV credits include the ABC telemovie Marriage Acts,  selected episodes of Love is a Four Letter Word, the ABC mini-series The Farm, ChangiFireflies, and Blue Water High (Series 1, 2 and 3), as well as the multi-award-winning feature film Radiance, starring Deborah Mailman and directed by Rachel Perkins, and Gillian Armstrong’s acclaimed feature-length documentary Not Fourteen Again.

Lizzie Cater

DEVELOPMENT PRODUCER

As a Queer person who grew up in a regional town, Lizzie is passionate about the representation of LQBTQIA+ voices and others that have been marginalized in the creative industries specifically. In her role as development producer at Easy Tiger, she works across a range of projects on their slate – among them is television series Sick To Death, created by her close collaborator Thomas Wilson-White, which she is co-producing with Alice Willison of Rhapsody Films and Easy Tiger. 

In addition to her in-house slate, Lizzie is developing the comedy series Shade, created and written by Gemma Bird Matheson and produced with Ratidzo Mambo, with the assistance of Screen Australia; and debut feature film Melaleuca by Jessica Barclay Lawton, based on the short film Zef which premiered on Nowness and has reached over 1.7 million views and participated in the TIFF Filmmakers Lab 2021. 

Previously, Lizzie produced Thomas Wilson-White’s feature The Greenhouse under the banner of their independent production company Everyone We Know; the film premiered at BFI: Flare and won the Audience Choice Award at the Mardi Gras Film Festival and Best Film at The Gold Coast and Melbourne Queer Film Festivals. Her short films include St. Augustine, which premiered in Official Competition at Melbourne International Film Festival; and Birdie, written and directed by Shelly Lauman, which premiered Internationally at Toronto International Film Festival, and was one of the first short-form projects acquired by Fox Searchlight. In 2022 Lizzie was one of two practitioners selected for Screen NSW’s Emerging Producer Placement and in 2019 she was selected as One to Watch by Screen Producers Australia.
